The unlimited vacation days jumped out to me as the most interesting, if not most innovative company perk to offer. Here’s the rub for those who might want to take advantage of it.The companies who use unlimited vacation days watch their employees productivity, accountability, and vacation time carefully. If someone is performing poorly and taking advantage of it, then, continued work at that company, advancement, and bonuses are considered carefully in the review.

Similarly, for those who are workaholics, this could show up in their reviews also. In both the take advantage and workaholic situations, there is no focus on work-life balance. The assumption is that work-life balance with a responsible staff creates value and more employee alignment to values. This, of course, means that the company has a value of work-life balance. It also puts the responsibility on the employee to pay attention carefully to their work-life balance.
