You probably didn’t get to the bottom of some tough issues. Issues that might be lingering and causing your plan to die include:
Some or all of your team is not bought into the vision.
You don’t have a clear crisp vision of where you’re going.
There’s no consistent and constant communication about the plan.
Some don’t see how their efforts fit.
There are several things you can do. A key question to ask yourself is “Do I have the bandwidth to do this so it’ll be effective?” It will take time, energy, constant and consistent communication.
“Yes?” Perfect. Then go for it.
“No?” Okay, maybe consider getting outside coaching. Heck, even the best athletes in the world have coaches. Why not you?
