They have time to plan, with focused attention, and often don’t use mobile devices in meetings, they take time for themselves and yet accomplish what most only hope to accomplish.
That’s crazy! Not really.
Let’s break it down. Highly effective managers do three things consistently, they:
- Are focused. In fact, they are laser focused.
- Know what to do and how to do it. Their focus let’s them prioritize and choose the best path to follow.
- Are skilled and disciplined to do what is necessary.
I have a friend. She is so busy, she is constantly exhausted. She is a doer and a high decisive. She can make decisions on-the-fly and can move quickly. Both are excellent talents and skills. She also has frayed focus. It comes from little planning and which leads to distracted decision making. By-the-way, this is a very common issue many people face. If she could put discipline into planning and decision making she’d be unstoppable in any area she wanted to tackle.
What do you do to be less crazy and more effective?
