It can be too much for us to consciously think through all our activities. So we form habits, habits of thought and habits of activities to get us through the day. We view the world through these habits, perspectives and attitudes. The question is, do our habits help get us to where we want to go or don’t they?
Here’s an enlightening quick exercise:
- What do you spend your free time doing or thinking about? List it out.
- Are these habits positive or negative, good or bad?
- Do the habits help you get to where you want to go?
- Do the habits act as distractions or are they fun and you want to do them?
- Why do you need distractions?
- Are you happy with the results from your free time activities?
Now the tough question. Through what attitudes and perspectives do you view your team, your activities, and your business?
Are they helpful and aimed at your vision and goals? Be honest.
Schedule a quick time and let’s talk.Only if you are ready for a change.
