What if, you really are who you are regardless of which “life” you are in? It sounds silly to put it in writing.
This would mean you’d have to come to terms with habits, attitudes, reactions that are both useful and unhelpful.
It also means you can take full advantage of your talents that you might not think are useful in your work. The flip side is that some of weaknesses in other areas can affect your effectiveness.
In fact, each area of your life affects the others and can be accentuated in your leadership effectiveness.
Take the the time to understand your habits, attitudes, behaviors in each of these areas:
- Health and fitness
- Personal development
- Ethics and beliefs
As you get better at aligning each of these areas to who you want to be, you will notice a distinct change in your effectiveness as a leader…hopefully better.
